Luiperdkloof-KwaZulu-Natal

Luiperdskloof

Description

LUIPERDKLOOF is a working 1264-hectare farm, with cattle, a few horses, chickens and sheep, yet, due to the mountainous terrain and climate, the season is too short for most commercial crops. This resulted in the preservation of near pristine grasslands.

Most importantly, the farm is listed as SA NATIONAL HERITAGE PROGRAMME SITE No 47, because of 5 very rare plant and bird species that occur here.
