 is situated within the Balele Community Game Park on the banks of the Utrecht Town Dam.

The camp site overlooks the Balele Mountain Range The Balele Caravan Park offers the ideal getaway for a well earned break, or come for the day and enjoy a picnic or braai at the dam.

Access to the Balele Game Park is included in the price of the accommodation - so you can enjoy self guided walks or drives through the Park. Throughout the park are various Picnic areas where you can relax or explore.

The Utrecht Town Dam offers some excellent fishing for Carp, Barbell, Natal Scaly (Yellow fish) and Black Bass.

Children’s entertainment includes horse rides, pony cart rides, a swimming pool and a new jungle gym.

For the sports enthusiast you can walk or cycle through the Balele Community Game Park or enjoy the many sports facilities at the Utrecht Country Club Including swimming, squash, tennis, bowls and golf.

The Utrecht Town is a town steeped in history which is reflected in the beautiful historic buildings.

The picturesque Balele mountains with its waterfalls and ecological diversity provides excellent birding.

Traditional arts and crafts are sold at the Mongosuthu Art & Craft area next to the Wildside Coffee Shop.

Facilities

Chalets

There are three chalets over looking the Town Dam and Balele Mountains, each chalet sleeps four people and has a separate kitchen and living area and an outside braai area.

Cottages

There are 9 fisherman cottages available, they are situated on the bank of the Utrecht Dam with wooden decks over the waters edge. Each cottage is open plan with a small kitchen and living area. The cottages sleep 4 people with 2 single beds and a double bunk.

Caravan Stands

There are 24 caravan stands in the main park area all situated on the lawn area close to the main ablution block with hot showers and washrooms. Each stand is electrified and has its own braai area.

Camping Site

There are 12 electrified stands in the 'tent dorp’ which lies within the Gum Tree Grove. The stands are placed around the communal braai area next to the ablutions.

Picnic Area

There is a picnic area with braai facilities and picnic tables scattered between the trees providing shaded picnic area for day visitors.
